Eric Dawson

I realize that it will be too late for you all to fast for Eric by the time you read this, but I didn't think about posting this e-mail from Edd and Shirley until today. However, you can still pray for him. Here is the e-mail Shirley sent:

Dear Family & Friends,I would like to request that you join us this weekend in a special fast and prayers for our son, Eric. How clearly I remember the call we received in June 1972 that our adoption request could be filled with a special baby boy. He had been born on 21 May 1971 but not adopted until 1972 due to his extreme premature birth and complications. We were excited and rushed to Tucson to get him. He was 13 months old and joined our family of Kim and Mark. We were so happy to have him and within a few short months he was doing really well. He had to have ear tubes but once that was done Eric has been the picture of health.In the past few months he has had many health challenges and no real diagnosis. He has a combination of problems with his lungs and blood and has been to specialists in both fields with no one finding the root problem.He is being accepted into the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale on October 14th and we are hoping they will be able to diagnosis the problem and find proper treatment.We will end our fast Sunday at 3 p.m. with a special prayer and Edd giving him a blessing. We would appreciate your joining in those prayers from wherever you may be. We know the power of the Lord to heal and that is what we are fervently seeking. Please join your faith with ours.
