This and That

Last Thursday during the day I actually did some cleaning. I shampooed the stairs and certain spots that were on the carpet. The stairs from the entry to downstairs were downright grody. Then I washed the walls and ceiling in the hallway. It needed it badly. During the summer some water had been spewed from the air conditioner to the walls and ceiling. It looks much better now. Later that evening we had a service awards banquet for ORMC. I got a gift and a pin for having worked there for 15 years. When looking though the choices of gifts, I realized that I really have everything I want. However, since it is free, I chose a new set of silverware. Y'all will have to have dinner here so you can see it.

Valentines Day

You are not going to believe it, but Ken and I actually went to a sweetheart dance last night and we DANCED. Ken's goal was to dance as much as I wanted to and to not be grumpy or tired. Does he love me or what!

We decided to go to breakfast for Valentines day instead of dinner. First because he has to work tonight and second because it would be so crowded at every restaurant in town on Valentines day. C called and asked what we were going to do yesterday and we invited her and P to go with us. "A" called from a friend's phone yesterday to say her phone got run over and we wouldn't be able to contact her until she got another one.

Anyway, when we go up this morning it was snowing and it had apparently been doing so for most of the night. But we headed out anyway. Wow, talk about bad roads! We saw numerous accidents and/or slide offs on the freeway as we drove to breakfast. It was not a day to go fast. N & T would definitely not want to be here with bald Tennessee tires.

After breakfast we went to Mrs. Cavanaugh's to get 1 chocolate a piece (that is what we tried to do to prevent us from eating a whole box of chocolates since Ken has diabetes and I am trying to lose weight.) However, they had some sample chocolates on the counter so we ended up eating a couple extra anyway. They were definitely GOOD!

Happy Valentines Day.

Blinds

Our old blinds do not fit in our window sill, now that we have new windows, so I ordered new ones these are cellular, bottom up, top down blinds. C helped me hang them. I don't think I could have done it by myself; my shoulder was complaining by the time we got through and that was with help.
