Baptism

Today Teancum had his birthday party. Six other 7-8 year-olds plus Teancum and Elina were at the party. Olga let them play while waiting for everyone to arrive. Then they played some relay type games in teams where they earned prizes. They thought that was great! Then came ice cream and cake and opening gifts. The cake is a transformer. All-in=all we can say they had a successful party.

That night Dave and Olga had a surprise for us. We went to the Barnum and Baily three ring circus. It was great! Olga and Elina actually got to participate in it. They had three sets of mother-daughter pairs come into the ring. The mothers were laying down on separate platforms with their daughters dressed in wizard clothes standing over them. The girls waved their fingers over the mothers and after the audience said the "magic" words the platforms rose in the air. Olga says she could hear what sounded like air rushing when the platforms rose. Elina got to keep the wizard hat she wore for the performance.

Saturday was the baptism. Olga's adopted parents, Bro. and Sis. Kearsley came up from Virginia just to see it. They were able to come to Elina's baptism also. I really enjoyed visiting with them, they are amazing people.

After the baptism Teancum went to another boy's birth. day party, Ken and Dave went to a flea market and Olga, Elina and I visited with Kearsley's until they had to leave and then we went shopping and Marshall's (reminded me of Ross dress-for-less in Utah). Previously Olga and Elina had bought matching skirts there. They found another one and convinced me to buy it so that we matched. Do we look amazing or what?
